Hide, the Michelin starred restaurant from Ollie Dabbous is an exercise in refinement, craft and elegance. The brief, to create the visual identity for a three-storey luxury destination in the heart of London, offered the perfect chance to design without compromise.
We took a modern and understated approach to luxury – reflecting the delicate sophistication of the architectural vision – beginning with a sunken metal nameplate that is half hidden in the highly textural facade, yet still entirely legible.
Every printed element in the restaurant revelled in the details – blind embossed and highly textural – with playful placement of the Hide word marque.
Inspired by Green Park that sits opposite Hide, we have a natural, almost neutral earthy palette.
Throughout the restaurant we used printing techniques that deliberately experiments with finishes that could only have been finished by hand – perfectly imperfect.
